Secondary power supply
Technology has developed rapidly in the last century and makes our society becoming increasingly dependent on electrical energy. Train traffic, bridges & locks, hospitals, data centers, communication systems, etc. we are only aware of our dependence on power when the primary energy supply has failed. At so called Critical Power installations, it is essential that the power supply of electrical energy to critical work processes is always guaranteed. When there is a risk that "the Net" can fail, and the application cannot afford this, there is a need for a backup system, a so called secondary power supply.
